BIOGRAPHY

Nathan P. Ries is the President and Manager of Unified Construction Group. Ries’ expertise includes restaurant, office, commercial residential, retail, and public works/infrastructure projects working in both a general contracting and construction management capacity. He has experience implementing the design/build project delivery system as well as providing turnkey development services. Ries is respected by his peers and colleagues in the construction field for his knowledge, ethics, and ability as a proven leader to facilitate collaboration among all parties of the design, construction and turnover phases. Ries develops and manages diverse teams in order to communicate and successfully complete the complexities of construction projects, and in the process has built positive and lasting relationships with many of northeastern Illinois’ most respected contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. Ries’ broad educational background from both Northwestern University (Master of Project Management) and Valparaiso University (B.S. in Civil Engineering) is reflected in a well-rounded and effective managerial style that has been well proven throughout his career.

BIOGRAPHY
Noel C. Valenti is the Vice President and Field Operations Manager of Unified Construction Group (UCG).  Valenti’s experience includes direct construction supervision of restaurant, office, high-rise commercial residential and retail projects ranging in value from $1 M to $90 M.  Valenti is credited with developing and implementing highly effective scheduling and coordination tools among subcontractors, while assembling internal personnel teams to complete challenging projects with high schedule and technical accuracy, cost control and quality.  Valenti’s knowledge and attention to construction safety brings added value to every project.

Valenti is charged with providing superior execution of all construction activities for UCG, through hands-on coordination of superintendents, subcontractors and suppliers.  In addition to critical field communications, Valenti is proactive to involve all other project stakeholders in open collaboration to solve issues in the most efficient and value-driven methods available.  Valenti is respected by his peers for demonstrating highly effective organizational and interpersonal skills, and is dedicated to building a constructive rapport with colleagues and clients.

Anthony J. Bonavolonta is the Vice President and Business Development Manager of Unified Construction Group (UCG).  Bonavolonta’s 22 years of experience includes construction of high-rise residential, office and renovation projects for some of Chicago’s largest and most respected developers.  During his distinguished career Bonavolonta has worked in general contracting, construction management and real estate development capacities on a myriad of projects ranging from $1 M to $154 M.  Bonavolonta has a proven track record of exceeding client expectations and goals by consistently delivering projects on time and within budget, while enforcing high quality and safety standards.  Bonavolonta is known for his ability to assemble a team of highly capable subcontractors, and then provide the planning, scheduling and coordination necessary to ensure efficient management during each phase of the project.  As a result, Bonavolonta has established a reputation in the industry as a proactive Project Executive that knows how to get things done.

Bonavolonta’s main responsibilities at UCG focus on business development activities, including lead generation, client interaction and project set-up.  In his business development role, Bonavolonta is charged with increasing the company’s business with particular emphasis upon repeat clients, high customer satisfaction and steady growth.  Bonavolonta’s broad educational background from Northwestern University, DePaul University and the University of Illinois provides a solid foundation in project management, business and architecture that is well suited to providing our clients with unparalleled service.
